Meet Camp Counselor Sam

Camp Counselor Samantha has been in the dog industry for about 8 years; She has dog sat, trained, fostered, worked in various boarding/daycare facilities as well as several training facilities and she raised a few puppies for Guiding Eyes for the Blind! She has done a variety of different workshops and seminars on dog behavior and training and has worked with a variety of well known dog trainers! She is also an Associate Member of the IACP! (International Association of Canine Professionals).

Sam has 3 dogs: Gracie, Ginny and Levi. She has had Gracie since she was a puppy and she rescued Ginny and Levi! Gracie is a lab who is a confident gal who loves water and dock diving! We have been on the dock for a few years now! Ginny is a crazy energetic boxer mix who loves to run and compete in fast cat! Levi is a poodle who is working on confidence building every day! He is a very nervous boy who has come with some baggage from his past.

When she's not working with other dogs, she's usually spending time with her own dogs, either in a field, swimming, competing in their favorite sports or just cuddling! You can also find her spending time with family and enjoying some non-dog related hobbies.

Sam’s camp structure:

  • Each camp adventure lasts around 2 hours (not including pick up and drop off)

  • Camp is run on public land (trails, preserves, and other nature spots)

  • Campers travel together in her personal vehicle, equipped with items for their comfort and safety

  • Dogs should be comfortable riding alongside others and ready to explore as a pack
